Cosmetic Dentistry
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening uses a bleaching agent to lighten suitable discoloration in natural teeth. The first step is understanding the cause of the color change and how existing fillings, crowns or veneers affect the plan.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Dental Veneers
A veneer covers the front surface of a tooth to change its visible shape, color or proportions. Planning focuses on the natural tooth underneath, the bite and how much tooth preparation would be needed.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic bonding adds tooth-colored composite resin to selected areas of a tooth. It can reshape a small chip, refine an edge or change a limited space, while keeping the treatment focused on the particular concern.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Tooth Contouring
Tooth contouring carefully removes a small amount of enamel to refine a minor irregularity in shape or an edge. It is a limited, irreversible change, so the available enamel and the bite guide the decision.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Gum Contouring
Gum contouring changes the outline of gum tissue around selected teeth. It may be considered when excess tissue affects tooth proportions, after the cause of the gum appearance and the underlying bone levels are assessed.

Smile Makeovers
A smile makeover is a coordinated plan for the changes that matter to you, rather than one procedure. It may combine selected approaches to color, shape or alignment after the health of teeth and gums is assessed.
Be specific about what you would like to change.
Color, shape, small chips, spaces and alignment can raise different questions. An examination helps determine the cause and whether the teeth and gums are healthy enough for the options under discussion.
Different concerns call for different options.
Whitening changes the color of natural teeth. Veneers cover the front surface of selected teeth, while orthodontic treatment changes tooth position. These are examples of approaches that may be discussed, not a confirmed list of every procedure available at Atlas Dental. Ask which options the practice offers for your needs.
Understand the trade-offs.
Whitening can cause temporary sensitivity or gum irritation and does not change the color of crowns or other tooth-colored restorations. Veneers may require removal of tooth structure, which is irreversible, and can chip or need replacement. Gum health, decay, bite and grinding habits may affect suitability.
A plan before a procedure.
Ask to understand the intended change, any preparation to the teeth, alternatives and maintenance before you decide. A less extensive treatment or no elective treatment may also be a reasonable choice. No procedure can promise a particular result for every patient.
Care beyond the appointment.
Maintenance depends on the treatment. Natural teeth and restorations still need daily care and dental review. Repairs, replacement or future color changes may affect the longer-term plan. Follow the instructions for the actual procedure you receive.
Timing and cost.
The number of teeth involved, technique, laboratory work and any preparatory care influence the schedule and fee. Ask what is included and which changes would add to the cost. Payment and insurance arrangements must be confirmed for your own plan.
Educational draft for website review. Suitability and treatment details require a clinical assessment. Atlas-specific procedures and provider arrangements remain subject to confirmation.
