What orthodontics can address.

Crowding, spaces between teeth and some bite concerns may be reasons to explore orthodontic care. Treatment moves teeth gradually. An assessment looks at your teeth, jaws, oral health and goals before a method is recommended.

Choosing an approach.

Braces and Invisalign clear aligners are different ways of moving teeth. Suitability depends on the type and complexity of movement needed; an appliance is not chosen on appearance alone. Ask which approach fits your assessment, who would provide treatment and whether specialist care is needed.

Your Invisalign questions, answered in person.

Atlas Dental is an Invisalign Platinum Provider and offers a free Invisalign consultation. Discuss your goals, treatment suitability, the clinician responsible for your care and what the consultation includes. The team can help you review costs and payment options, including Sunbit financing for eligible patients.

What the process involves.

An examination and appropriate records help establish the plan. Treatment usually involves a sequence of adjustments or appliances with progress reviews. You will need to follow the instructions for the chosen approach and keep attending routine dental care. Alternatives may include another orthodontic method, monitoring or choosing not to proceed, depending on the findings.

Everyday care and possible limitations.

Teeth may feel sore after an appliance is fitted or adjusted. Cleaning around appliances takes care; inadequate cleaning can contribute to decay and gum problems. Movement and treatment length vary. Ask your clinician about the risks relevant to your teeth and any limitations on the result.

After active treatment.

Retainers help hold teeth in their new positions. Teeth can continue to change over time, so retention is an ongoing part of care. Follow the prescribed wear and cleaning plan and arrange review if a retainer is damaged or no longer fits.

Plan for time and cost.

Complexity, appliance choice, reviews and retention affect timing and cost. Ask what the proposed fee includes, including replacement appliances or retainers. Atlas offers orthodontic treatment; that does not establish that an orthodontist is on staff.
